Endurance, preparation, intellect and talent are qualities of a champion. So, it comes as little surprise that our Jr. Beta Club returned from the Texas Jr. Beta State Convention 9-time winners!
Held Feb. 22-23, the Beta state convention showcased the best and brightest of Texas' youth in the honor and service organization. Our Betas rose above the competition to earn (5) 1st place, two (2) second place and two (2) third place honors. The Beta Club successfully defended their 1st Place titles from the 2009 convention with consecutive wins in Group Talent, Speech Contest and Songfest.
As an added bonus, the Beta Club earned 1st Place for the first time in Scrapbook! Way to go scrapbook committee! Congratulations to sponsors Ms. Y. Smith, Mrs. A. Willis and Ms. S. Clay, parent volunteers and students who worked tirelessly for weeks - including meeting on the weekend. You guys are a class act!
All of your hard work culminated in successful run at state; next stop, Louisville and the National Jr. Beta Convention!
